　　My name is Zhang Dan. I have a pen pal.

　　My pen pal is a girl. She is 12 years old. She is from Toronto, Canada. She is tall and she is thin. She has short curly hair. She wears funny glasses. She is a little bit quiet and shy. She can speak English and French. She speaks English very well. Her favorite subject is math. Because she thinks math is interesting. She likes reading and playing chess. She is a good student.

　　Everyone likes her very much because she is friendly.

　　Meals in China are different in some ways from meals in the West．

　　In China, lunch is usually served around 12 o’clock．As for dinner, Chinese people eat it much earlier than people in the West．Chopsticks are used to eat most food．Generally, for dinner, there’ll be lots of different dishes, not just three courses．Besides, Chinese people like to talk about food, so it’s a good topic during a meal．

　　The golden rule is: when you’re in China, watch the Chinese and do as they do!

　　My school life is a little boring.

　　Everyday we have nine lessons at school. We have to do endless homework at night and have lessons at weekends. I do not have enough time to have a rest and relax myself. In my opinion, we should have fewer lessons and more activities. We should do sports at least two hours a day. And teachers should pay less attention to students` marks and encourage every student to work hard. That`s my ideal school life.
